Benazir Nashnuma program Registration has been started. The government of Pakistan has set center in each district of Pakistan. Initially, this Scheme was launched in 14 districts; currently, this initiative is operational in 156 districts of the country with a network of over 470 Nashonuma centers. 2500/ rupees per Girl Per Quarter will be given to the mother of the child. Two thousand rupees per boy per Quarter will be given to the mother of the male child.

Benazir Nashonuma Program (BNP)

Malnutrition Is the major cause of stunting, weight reduction and poor immunity. The first 1000 days of a neonate are very important in creating a strong base for later achievements. To prevent Stunting and Malnutrition, the government has launched an initiative called the Ehsaas Nashonuma program. It is a conditional cash transfer to pregnant or lactating mothers per Quarter. In this scheme, RS 2000 is given if the child is male and 2500 rupees if female.

Objective of Benazir Nashonuma Initiative

The primary objectives of this great scheme are as follows.

  • To reduce the chances of short height in children.
  • To reduce the chance of iron deficiency anemia and Worm infestation.
  • Reduce diseases burden by improved uptake of available health and nutrition services.
  • To improve awareness in mothers regarding early neonatal and fetal Child Healthcare.
  • To improve weight gain of pregnant women during pregnancy.

Amount of Benazir Nashonuma Program

Pregnant lactating women will get Rs 2000 per Quarter for boys and Rs 25 quarters per girl child.

Eligibility Criteria New Update

Following criteria should be Fulfilled to the eligible.

  • Pregnant mothers.
  • Child under the age of 2 years.
  • lactating mother.

  • Pakistan is second highest country having high rates of malnutrition (40.2%).
  • 28.9% child have low body mass & index (BMI) and are underweight.
  • 17.7% are on the average of child nutrition crises.
  • Six hundred thousand individuals, including 292700 pregnant women and 315800 children, have taken benefits.
